If you’re planning on going through more challenging terrain, go for the more rugged hiking boots. Full-grain leather shoes are incredibly durable and ideal for experienced hikers.

A low-cut boot is similar to running shoes in that it’s lightweight and can be used by beginner hikers who are planning on going through well-maintained trails. Mid-cut hiking boots are also suitable for protection from various trail-side hazards. High-cut hiking boots are more stable and provide the best level of support.
